Adiba Barney is the former CEO of SVForum, the largest and oldest non-profit organization in Silicon Valley. SVForum is devoted to creating connections and providing education to the Silicon Valley ecosystem of innovators, entrepreneurs, and business professionals participating in emerging technologies. Prior to that, she was the Executive Director of Silicon Vikings, which focuses on Nordic innovation and startups.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Barney created the world tour exhibition ”Innovative Sweden”, promoting Sweden’s brand as a highly innovative nation. She has also worked for several years in Sweden, for example with science parks, incubators, and governmental agencies, where her focus has been on PR and creating networking platforms and clusters, not to mention coaching hundreds of startups and entrepreneurs.
Ms. Barney holds a BA in International Marketing and Business from Mälardalen University in Västerås, Sweden, as well as studies in Branding, PR, Media, and Communication from Berghs School of Communication in Stockholm, Sweden.
