About Hotel Amadeus in Halmstad

Hotel Amadeus is a central, but quietly located hotel in Halmstad. It is only a short walk to the Main Square (Stora Torg). Train station and airport are found within a few kilometers.

Here are 65 rooms that are being renovated continuously. All rooms got new bathrooms in 2012-13. The rooms are equipped with a TV, telephone and free access to Wi-Fi. All rooms have a desk and an armchair. Several of the rooms also received new beds this year.

The cleaning of the rooms is carried out daily (and towels are changed as needed.)

The opening hours of the reception are 06:30-23:30 on weekdays and 07:00-24:00 on weekends.

Every weekday morning breakfast is served from 0.630-9:30 am and on weekends at 07:00-10:00 am. Here you can have freshly baked buns, dark bread, soured milk and yoghurt or scrambled eggs and meatballs for those who want that instead. As a guest you always, under the opening hours of the reception, have access to coffee, te and juice.

In the basement of the hotel there is a cosy relax are with a dry sauna and a little steam room. For those who wish to work out we cooperate with Actic Simhallsbadet. If you prefer training in the form of running is Galgberget with different trails a short run away or you can follow the Prince Bertil's path out to Tylösand (12 km).

Hotel Amadeus is owned by the family Tran since 2006 and has six employees. Most of the work is handled within the hotel by the owners and employees, for example, all the laundry is washed at the hotel. The company has in recent years had a good and steady occupancy, all year round, which is important in a city where much is focused on the summer period. Here there is a recurring clientele both in terms of business and private guests.

The environmental work at the hotel

The hotel currently has no environmental labeling but we are working daily with our environmental policy.
The hotel has worked extensively with environmental work since 2006.

We sort waste such as:
Colored and clear glass, combustible waste, cardboard, waste paper, plastic, metal, glass/porcelain, batteries, light bulbs, etc.
During 2010-2014 the hotel has undergone a lot of renovations.
Energy-saving showers and toilets with two flush options were installed.
All our hygiene and cleaning items are now in dosage vials.
We have replaced all light bulbs to energy-saving bulbs or LED lights.
All our appliances are energy labeled.
During 2012 we received new modern triple-glazed windows
Since we wash our own laundry, we always use marked detergent.
We have made demands on all our suppliers that all purchases must have a kind of marking.

Hotel Amadeus is a Garni Hotell where only breakfast is served.
We buy our raw materials ourselves in the stores about two to three times a week. This way, we have an incredibly small amount of food waste.
